Hi, I’m Miguel, a physical therapist who’s tired of feeling like garbage after sitting all day.

I begrudgingly had to leave the clinic life to work from home during the pandemic… and immediately felt the consequences in my hips, knees, neck, and sanity.

A physical therapist sits cross-legged in a cushioned office chair, smiling in a bright home office setup with dual monitors on a standing desk and large windows showing green trees outside. Cables are visible under the desk, adding a casual, real-life touch to the workspace.

I know what it’s like to sit for 8+ hours and then peel yourself out of a desk chair feeling like your spine aged 40 years.

That’s why I created this blog, to help regular people like you (and me) prevent and manage joint pain without having to overhaul your entire life!

No gym selfies. No 75-day challenges. No pretending I wake up excited to exercise (I don’t).

Just realistic advice to help you feel human again. You have a life to live!

✅ You’re in the right place if:

  • You work at a desk and your joints are staging a rebellion.

  • You want advice on which desk equipment is best for YOUR BODY, not what’s trending.

  • You’re not a fan of exercising, but you know it’s like brushing your teeth – one of those annoying things you do as a responsible adult so your body doesn’t fall apart.

  • You want realistic solutions to move more and hurt less, so you can live your life.

  • You want help from someone who knows the science but also gets the struggle.

👨🏽‍🎓 Credentials (because who tf am I to talk about this?):

  • Licensed Physical Therapist, graduated in 2014.

  • Master’s in Manual Therapy (learned how to perform chiropractic adjustments, myofascial release, and other flashy stuff), completed in 2016.

  • Personal Trainer certification, completed in 2019.

  • Years of clinical experience treating joint pain, movement dysfunction, and chronic desk-body aches.

  • Living the desk-life since 2020 (I’ll give you one guess as to why I had to do it!).

  • I test everything on myself first (or my wife lol).

The wife got me into yoga recently, it’s been fun and feels great after sitting all day!

📍 My approach is simple:

  • Movement over workouts. If you don’t want to be a gym rat, cool, me neither. We’re going to work smarter, focusing on things you love doing instead of what social media says we should do.

  • Practical > Perfect. You won’t find any “perfect posture” lectures here. It’s my belief that our bodies are not broken, they’ve just been stuck in one position for too long.

  • Pain is personal. I don’t believe in one-size-fits-all. My goal is to give you the principles so you can figure out what works best for your body.

🌶️ Hot takes I stand by:

  • Just because it’s “ergonomic” doesn’t mean it’s pain-proof!

  • “Good posture” is overrated. Posture variety is where it’s at.

  • Chiropractic adjustments are flashy but overrated (I know, I did a master’s on it and used them plenty). There are other ways to feel better than having your neck cracked like a glow stick.

Still here? Cool 😄 I think you’ll love this!

I created a quick 5-day mini-course with my Physio-Approved Home Office Setup.

There, I explain my home office setup, basically why I picked each item from a physical therapy perspective (i.e. move more, hurt less, while saving money).

Leave your info here and I’ll send it to you!
